After becoming her mother’s caregiver and seeing firsthand the need for more laughter and connection among older adults, Amy Huber-Smith founded the Senior Comedy Community to offer something different: stand-up comedy by seniors, for seniors, and for audiences of all ages.
Today, the Senior Comedy Community is a fast-growing community of senior comedians, from seasoned performers to newer voices, who gather regularly to support one another, develop their craft, and bring relatable, real-life humor to the stage.
What Makes Us Different
Our Comedy Hour is a standalone, professionally hosted experience featuring several senior comedians. Whether a public showcase or a private event, each show is thoughtfully tailored to deliver laughter and engagement.
Through the Find Your Funny signature program, older adults learn to turn life experience into punchlines, culminating in a showcase for family and friends. For senior living communities, this program creates opportunities to build connection, community, and purpose.
